RAHHH.

Me back:(

Sunday, June 04, 2006

WOW!!

me blogging!!

by now quite used to life in guangzhou le.

ate a lot of food, bought quite a lot of stuff, yeah.

the cityscape at night is not bad, but the air is so polluted that even the stars can't be seen.

well, the weather was fine when we first arrived but it grew colder with showers almost everyday for a period of time--which is abnormal for summer.

Usually, there will be dragon boat races on duan wu jie, which is ok since the weather during this time would be fine. this year, though the depth of the river was increased, it didn't rain too heavily, fortunately so the races were still able to take place.

ahh. and the weather has greatly increased the mosquito population, resulting in lots of them flying arnd, and me passing my time killing them. i killed quite a lot k! actually, its quite fun.:D

as for the shopping part..eh...haven't been shopping much but the stuff here's really quite different from those in S'pore. Some are cheaper, cos they don't hav to be imported, and vice versa. There are also many large departmental stores here that have many levels, often occupying the entire space of a building. One can spend hours inside one of those. There was this building which was a bookstore, with like 5 or 6 levels, including the basement. Yes the basement. The most important part of the entire building. The basement is where the multimedia stuff are. cds, vcds, dvds, whatever. THAT was where i got my The Pianist. THAT was where i saw the ENTIRE collection of Jay's albums[got books on him somemore]. THAT was where i bought his Wu Yu Lun Bi ep. THAT was where i bought Jie Zuo, a collection of his song lyrics in the form of a book. That place is... is... .... err...i forgot the name.-_-'''
nvm. im still going to go there again to get his other eps. me decided to get his eps so i can watch his mvs. then, no flashplayer # no mvs!^-^V but now only got fantasy plus, incomparable and huo yuan chia. still lack the one and hidden track ><'''

ok, enough abt him. ANYWAY, another day my mum's ex-colleauge brought us to this uber cool japanese restuarant called Japan Fusion i think. It's got its own pair of lifts and when you arrive at the second floor, even before the door opens, you can hear the loud roar of the waterfall. YES. There were this not-so-mini waterfalls on each side, complete with a little slippery stone path in between. The interior of the restaurant is dim and comfy, with the chatter of the costumers as the background music. There are many tanks teeming with live seafood, the bubbling water blending in with the roar and chatter. I don't think there were any windows either, so its very much cut off from the rest of the world. There were even rooms for private gatherings, whereby costumers had to kneel on tatami mats. I'm lucky that i didn't have to do that. The waiters were dressed in many different kinds of japanese costumes and oh, there were even girls in kimonos to help you press for the lift.o_O
As for the food, im sure it would have been nice but my choices were limited due to medical reasons[my mom's] so it was filling but not-that-satisfactory.

WAHH. actually sounds quite fun leh. how come doesn't really feel fun arh? dunno leh.
going to end here already. the rest will come later. maybe.
