Thursday, February 21, 2008 Update! Wed: 1st day of sch! could hear the cheers even before the sch building appeared before my eyes! "WELCOME TO JJ THIS WAY PLEASE!!" and random "GOOD MORNING"s. a bit paiseh lor. The ogls are so high! and to think they've only been there 2 mths! the teachers appear to be friendly and amiable too. some are as high as the students lah! ok. kinda culturally-shocked. everyone is so open and zi-high! saw a few of my pri sch classmates. who would have thought they'll grow up to be like this! HOWEVER... the 2nd-intakers(US) are all still placid and un-enthu despite the ogls' persistent efforts to ignite some sparks of passion in us. yours truly tried to be high ok! but the ppl arnd me(i was surrounded by guys;wasn't a chance of getting away)were like blocks of wood! so me paiseh to cheer and wave my arms.tsk tsk. otherwise, it was a content-heavy admin day with a lot of sitting cross-legged in a cold hall listening to talks. the talk on chinese subjects almost lulled me to sleep.-_-'''could barely walk properly after all that sitting and my legs hurt! after sch, walked back home(good excercise!) and relaxed in front of e comp. checking on the ebay auction and jay2u forums made me all gancheong abt my JAY FIGURINE BOX SET again!! called explogift to enquire and made off for FOOK HAI BUILDING. where the hell is that! chinatown. BUT YOURS TRULY IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT 本人 FOUND THE PLACE ALL BY HERSELF AND WITHOUT MUCH PROBLEMS!!*cue applause* :D *beams widely* ok. it was pretty easy actually.-_-''' but that place is seriously ulu-ated. the building was quite bare, lighting quite dim and it was pretty shabby. The whole place seems to have not had any changes for years. a lot of hobby shops and few ppl...until i went down the narrow escalator and a saw a long queue! what is this ultra-long queue comprising of old uncles, aunties and working class doing in this god-forsaken place? guess what? its none other than... TOTO!!!! $10,000,000 leh. which self-respecting toto junkie,no, in fact, would any s'porean forgo this wonderful opportunity to win so much free $? anyway, found the explogift office in some desolate corner of the already very desolate fook hai building and made my dream order!! saw a lot of his concert merchandise in boxes lying arnd. 看得本人眼花缭乱. now i just have to wait for the 15th of march, i think. (: Today: walked to sch again. to my immense relief, there was no special reception at the sch gate. sat with the girls in my og this time and manage to get some little conversations going! hmm...not bad. though there's still quite a no. awaiting calls from their appealed schs. Next, chose our subjects, tried to have ice-breakers, and got our money extorted. ok. forget the last part since i didn't bring $$. learnt claps and cheers and mass dance! omg. the ogls can just break into a cheer anytime, anywhere can! it's THAT high.:/ mass dance, as always, was pretty fun but got tired by 2nd dance. not enough sleep sia! and no guy partner for me and a few others since i think the gender distribution of this batch of 2nd intakers is not proportionate. hmmm... note: ranting session about to begin. Those not interested, skip the hard-to-read-without-highlighting parts. Your kind cooperation is gladly appreciated. after sch, i went out again. this time to another ulu place--TECHPT @ amk. if you thought fook hai building is already one of the most ulu-ated places you've heard, wait till i tell you abt amk st 65. and its vicinity. Being an industrial area, the place i visited today naturally lacks the presence of pedestrians on the streets and buses on the roads. That, by itself, is fine by me. What pissed me off most about my brief visit there is that, as if to compensate for the lack of the abovementioned and balance out the amt of activity there, the place is plagued with skiving taxi drivers and the roads are cursed with n006(new word learnt today,or rather,new way of expressing its meaning)driving students! and i assure you, the flow is so consistent that i was boiling over by the time i jaywalked(no painted pedestrian crossings!)across the narrow road. what are taxis doing there, where there is perpetually no human soul in sight? techpt itself is not even worthy of mention as its a large building full of mostly air. Its first level(as far as i've seen)is wide, airy space(it takes an average person around 2 mins? to walk from one end to the other at normal pace)dotted with abt 4(?)different offices? and there are 6 lifts. oh well, maybe my timing is bad and i just so happened to visit that place at its most unpleasant time of the day. oh well, at least i've gotten my kfd notebook, poker cards and poster!(though not free. the trauma i went thru in the process of obtaining them and the possible cost of counselling fees plus the no. of sms-es i sent in might even cost more than if i were to get them by some other means) random facts:

Tuesday, February 19, 2008 (I-Weekly)U won a Kungfu Dunk notebk, poster & playing cards. Shw sms & ic at MPB,10 Ang Mo kio St 65, #01-06 Techpt by Feb 26(Mon-fri, 9am-6pm)to collect ...... my first time ever winning something!!! this has probably got a lot to do with my spamming their inbox with like 30+ smses? XDXDXDXDXD but then.... another problem arises. Where on earth is TECHPT? ehh.... i will eventually figure it out before feb 26...i think. what kind out weird date is feb 26 anyway? though it does look rather familiar... *thinks* oh well, i guess there's nothing special about it after all.*shrugs* and another thing to lament about is that my extra long and shiok holiday is ENDING!! THE HORROR.*insert shocked face* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! and i think i have eaten so many Olympics take place every leap year! this feb29 i'm gonna do smth special! and my longing for the Jay Chou world tour figurine box set has resurfaced! oh no!
