Tuesday, July 28, 2009 Of Bespectacled Drummers  Happy 36th birthday GUANYOU**!!! **shinyi's favourite drummer!! goodness! i never thought i'll ever be wishing someone this old happy birthday! GUANYOU GUANYOU!!! YANMING YANMING!!! GUANMING YANYOU!!! he pretty much formed the bulk of my first memories of mayday. i still remember him from years ago, drawing lipstick paintings on glass panels to 知足 in a vaguely touching performance on a charity show. (for which most of the proceeds went into the pocket of the most famous monk in singapore) yeah, it was mayday on that charity show then, but somehow he was the one who made the most of what impression i had of this bunch of uncles. i was still young and impressionable then, ignorant of the difference between boybands and rock bands. i had thought mayday was another one of those boybands, albeit an old one.(THE HORROR!) i think i even wondered what was so great about them, or boybands in general.(though i do still wonder about the latter). Thank heavens, i now know better. anyway, i guess one reason he made such an impression was the thick, black-framed glasses. Nerdy! and i don't think you see many bespectacled drummers out there... or one who proposes on a concert - after the 'special' act had already been carried out by a band member just 3 years or 4 before - by saying "你愿意嫁给一个憨人吗?" or one who changes his name just because his fortune-teller told him his original name was bad for his 长辈s and health! HAHAHA!!! there are many little details and habits about him that make him so adorable and so GUANYOU!! 冠佑生日快乐!!!!  we love you for your: GONG-ness 节俭-ness good humour high level of tolerance for the other 四月天's jokes and bullying 委屈-ness 老实-ness 物超所值-ness 花内裤 电棒夹 精油 绯闻 痴心绝对and the other duet where he likes to 一人分饰两角 女人.街 天鹅湖 二手车 and all your 辛酸 and 心酸!!! i <3 your arrangements too! 轻功! and your compositions! 夜访吸血鬼! 加油!加油! 要不是你这么看得开, 五月天早就拆团了! 你真伟大!  小佑佑 <3 小莎莎!!!  曾有一名粉丝在签唱会上对冠佑说: "你长得好奇怪喔!!" 让他顿时不知所措.  actually quite shuai  drummer!  he gets to make a pair of drum sticks while the others have to make guitars. INTERMEZZO!!!  such a cute smile!!  just a little bit weird...   sometimes extra....  BUT STILL SO CUTE!!  五月天 <3 冠佑!!!
