Hide and Seek

I thought i enjoyed playing hide and seek.

the thrill of hiding and not getting caught.

the adrenaline pumping as the seeker approaches.

but,


just as the footsteps reach the spot i'm hiding behind......







and slowly fade into the distance,



i realised with a pang that it was not I they were seeking.



































i was playing hide and seek with a ghost after all.



...hiding from everyone,
yet no one seeks...
